 Active Directory Password Reset

The following scenario is based on a use case from Tiffin University in Ohio, USA.

  1. Student contacts Student Help Desk
  2. Student Help Desk determines the need to reset password
  3. Student Help Desk escalates to Main Help Desk
  4. Main Help Desk personnel use Microsoft Active Directory tools to reset the student’s password. 
  5. The Main Help Desk gives the ticket back to the Student Help Desk
  6. The Student Help Desk informs the student of their password reset
NOTE: This method takes the time of at least 2 staff members, and often takes hours and sometimes over a day to actually complete.
